Saying the Right thing, To Every Prospect…

I received yet another great question that you might
interested in reading over...

**************************************************
I am trying to create a new script for when I call
my prospects.  The script that I have gives people
the impression that they have to sell somthing and
it makes it very difficult to recruit people. For
some reason when I mention "Direct Marketing" that
scares alot of prospects.
**************************************************

In terms of developing a script that 'works' and
doesn't scare off prospects - I would highly recommend
investing in a training material by Tim Sales, Called
Professional inviter. Here is a link:
http://www.firstclassmlmtools.com/All-Products-C17.aspx

(I'm very careful what I recommend, but I even have 2
copies of this. Back in the day when I was calling
leads... I had one copy of this training for me - and
one to pass out to my teammates)

If you are content on building your business by
calling leads, this training material is a must.  It's
going to help you learn how to approach people in your
business with a whole new level of confidence and it
gives you live examples on what to say and how to say
it. (it offers much more as well such as a SOLID
understanding of the Network Marketing Industry).

This reminds me, I had a great conversation with

Tim this past August, Here's a pic of us in conversation,
Can you feel the intensity?! ... lol

Alright so, what it really comes down to is figuring out
what the other person is looking for, (answer the questions -
"What's in it for me?").

So to be honest, I don't really go by scripts. Sure
you'll be exposed to a bunch of different scripts and
ways to say things in that training. But I find that
it sounds rehearsed... you're much better off going
into the phone call thinking that you simply going to
meet this person and see if what you have to offer is
a good fit.

But all of that being said, I would recommend you
read over my eBook, The 7 Fatal Mistakes of a Network
Marketer.  The 5th Fatal Mistake I talk about is
buying leads... and I go into some more details why
that is.

Alright, so there you have it!

If you're looking to clean up your arrpoach,
grab yourself of this invaluable training.

Remember - You ARE your own best Assest, so be
willing to invest in it!

How Do I get them Interested? … my response

A lot of really good questions have come in, and I'll

share with you some of the most common ones.

Here's what Jess wrote:

good day to you,

this is jess, and I'm new to my bizness...
I have a very big concern right now,
-probably,what can u suggest on how to get people be
interested in this bizness? i'm having a hard time in
getting people join the bizness.
i've already invited several people, although my
uplines are the one who talked for my invites, at
first they became interested, but when i do the follow-
up, they tend not to reply or answer any of my follow-
ups,
and it's a huge problem on my part, hope u could help
me overcome this.

Thank you and God Bless!

Here's my response

Hi there Jess,

Let's break this down. Your first question:
what can u suggest on how to get people be interested
in this bizness?

Great question, and this answer took me a number of
years to figure out.
Here's the thing, you're going to struggle if you are
trying to create an interest in someone who didn't
really have an interest in the first place.
Let me explain.

When you are talking with someone and you think they
would be good at, or interested in working the
bizness, you have to step back and make sure you can
answer this one very important question,

******************
What's in it for them?
******************

If you do not know exactly why this bizness would be
a good fit for your prospect, then you really
shouldn't go into the bizness.
How to 'get people interested' in your home based business

You see, this is a big part of Qualifying the

prospect. Making sure that what we have is a good fit

for them.

When I talk to people now, one of the first things I
say, is that, "I'm not sure if what I have is going to
be right for you - so I just want to see where you're
at and see if there's a good fit".

This does a couple things.
1) It puts down their guard. Instead of seeing you
as someone who just wants to get them to join
something, they now see you as a friend.

2) People really open up and you'll see that they
will tell you what they're TRULY after.

For example. When someone says to me that they want
to make more money, I ask them, "Why, what are you
going to do with that money?".

This is all a part of getting the person 'interested'
as you would call it.

ONLY IF there truly is a good fit. Meaning, if being
able to build a business will help them get what they
want.
Often times it can - but not always.

So when there is a link. When someone says that they
would like more money, or be able to stay home with
their kids... That's what you approach with.
SO...
ALL of your communications are going to be geared
towards how working this can help them get what they
want.

****************************
Second part of your question is about the follow
up.
*****************************

The first thing to make this a whole lot easier is to
SCHEDULE the time that you are going to follow up. Do
Not leave a meeting, without knowing when you're going
to talk next. It's as simple as asking, "When will
you have a change to review the materials?"... ok
great, how about I give you a call on [Thursday at
7:00pm] and we'll talk more".

Notice that it's an EXACT time and day.

And when you follow up, you lead with what it is that
they wanted. You can say something like this,
"So can you see how building this as a side bizness
can help you stay home with the kids?"

Another words, go back to the thing that they really
want. Just as you said, at first they were interested -
So what was it that they were interested in?

Not many people want to sign up for a business. But
they do want to sign up for an opportunity for a
better lifestyle (for example).

In summary, communicate to people on a level that
shows them that this can help them get what they
really want. If they don't feel it's right for them,
MOVE ON. Find people who are looking for what we have
to offer.

PS. I'm working of some materials that will help with
getting more qualified people to talk to. I know how
important this is... and it's been a big part of my focus.
It might take me another month or so but stay
tuned for that..
