After approaching just about everyone I knew in my warm market, I was told about buying leads and how I could speak to 'highly qualified' prospects.

What I notice in this Network Marketing industry is that there are highly dedicated people who are willing to do just about anything to succeed. I am one of those people. So when I went full time in my network marketing business I was faced with a challenge that I think most network marketers are face with.
And that is, there are only so many people who I personally know who might be interested in building a home based business. After you approach the people you know it becomes increasingly difficult to build your 'pipeline'. The next step that I've seen many fellow Network Marketers take is to find a reputable lead generation company and start the continuous journey of buying leads.

I was so stubborn and willing to try anything to get my business to grow. I sat for 4 to 6 hours a day calling leads. I did not realize that there is a systematic flaw with this approach. And this flaw is carried over to just about everything we do in the business.

The fundamental flaw with calling leads is that we are chasing our prospect. If what we have to offer is so great, doesn't it make sense for us to position ourselves in such a way that we are being sought out? Is this contrary to everything you have been taught about Network Marketing, to have people call you?

As we make the calls to these people seeing if they qualify for our business, the people on the other end see us as needy. Everything we do - call them, present, follow up five times - is a direct reflection of what it's going to take to build the business. Here's something that I have learned and it has completely changed the way I build my business.

People do not join your company because of your products, compensation plan or because they are publically traded on the NASDAQ. People are joining You.

When you realize this everything changes. The way you present yourself and even present the company will change. You need to answer their two questions;

1) What's in it for me?
2) Can you help me get it?

Buying leads tells the prospect loud and clear, you are not a leader. Think of the top leaders in your company. Do you think they are calling up leads seeing they are interested in joining your business? There needs to be a shift from chasing people to having people chase you.

Position yourself as a leader. Buying leads is simply not the way to do it. It is not easy to duplicate for others in your down line, you will end up wasting money and more importantly time.

I have gone through a number of different courses on internet marketing and have come across a few 'black hat' strategies. One of these secret strategies have recently got people Banded from YouTube - Here's Why.

It looks like some 'Black Hat' strategies that internet marketers have used have caught up with them as there is a new YouTube slap that marketers have recently experience. If you're thinking of building your business integrating YouTube into your marketing efforts, you'll want to make sure you read on so you know what to avoid!

For anyone who is marketing online and has put time and effort into building a YouTube profile and a following, this new YouTube Slap is going to hit hard for some. I think it's important to learn from others mistakes so we don't fall into the same trap.

One of the main reasons why Internet Marketers YouTube account have been suspended is because of DUPLICATE CONTENT.

One of the 'super secret' strategies that has been implemented by internet marketers, is to create a video in such a way where it was specific on a topic, but generic enough to be posted on many different profiles. Let me explain.

Basically what you could do is create a number of different profiles on YouTube and post the same video to all of them. Sounds like a great idea doesn't it? Well, it was a pretty good idea for as long as it was working.

But you know what, Google is just too damn smart! They are able to track all the different videos that are out there (and remember Google owns YouTube) and if they find that there is duplicate content being posted; this is NOT and good thing. You will eventually experience what's being call the YouTube Slap. There has even been mention that Google has Voice Recognition software for their videos. Kind of scary hey?

So the lesson that we can all learn from this is to not publish duplicate content out there on the internet. It is just not worth the risk. So it looks like a few internet marketers are going to have to change up their strategy. There are so many ways we can build a home Business and I've made some Fatal Mistakes along the way.
