After approaching just about everyone I knew in my warm market, I was told about buying leads and how I could speak to 'highly qualified' prospects.

What I notice in this Network Marketing industry is that there are highly dedicated people who are willing to do just about anything to succeed. I am one of those people. So when I went full time in my network marketing business I was faced with a challenge that I think most network marketers are face with.
And that is, there are only so many people who I personally know who might be interested in building a home based business. After you approach the people you know it becomes increasingly difficult to build your 'pipeline'. The next step that I've seen many fellow Network Marketers take is to find a reputable lead generation company and start the continuous journey of buying leads.

I was so stubborn and willing to try anything to get my business to grow. I sat for 4 to 6 hours a day calling leads. I did not realize that there is a systematic flaw with this approach. And this flaw is carried over to just about everything we do in the business.

The fundamental flaw with calling leads is that we are chasing our prospect. If what we have to offer is so great, doesn't it make sense for us to position ourselves in such a way that we are being sought out? Is this contrary to everything you have been taught about Network Marketing, to have people call you?

As we make the calls to these people seeing if they qualify for our business, the people on the other end see us as needy. Everything we do - call them, present, follow up five times - is a direct reflection of what it's going to take to build the business. Here's something that I have learned and it has completely changed the way I build my business.

People do not join your company because of your products, compensation plan or because they are publically traded on the NASDAQ. People are joining You.

When you realize this everything changes. The way you present yourself and even present the company will change. You need to answer their two questions;

1) What's in it for me?
2) Can you help me get it?

Buying leads tells the prospect loud and clear, you are not a leader. Think of the top leaders in your company. Do you think they are calling up leads seeing they are interested in joining your business? There needs to be a shift from chasing people to having people chase you.

Position yourself as a leader. Buying leads is simply not the way to do it. It is not easy to duplicate for others in your down line, you will end up wasting money and more importantly time.

Let talk about the key ingredients to having success in your home based business. Some thing that seems quite simple can make the biggest difference to you attaining success.

As I sat in a conference with my team to learn more about how to build a Home Based Business, I realized that there was a key difference between those of us who work the business full time, and those who wish they could...

I wondered why everyone in the room (there was about 120 of us), why each and every one is not able to quite there job and work the business full time. Now, I know that it is not practical for most people to do so, and I actually don’t recommend it for most people right out of the gates. But there seems to be a key difference between those who will go home and BUILD the business and those who won’t.
Let’s talk about the majority of people first – those who WILL NOT actually go home and build the business. Now, half the battle is to SHOW UP to the presentation, the training, the seminar... so it’s great to see many people were there.

But people seem to be bottled up with fear. Fear of approaching, fear of success, fear of rejection...

The concern I have with this is that if people are serious about building a home based business that will set them free, they HAVE TO FACE their fears... head on. I didn’t know that this business DEMANDS PERSONAL GROWTH when I first got started. But that is what it’s about.

You see, we are our own worst enemy. We create the fear, the distractions, the procrastination etc. But if YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT YOUR DREAMS, you will take a good look at yourself and ask, are you the type of leader that others will want to join? If not, understand your fears and insecurities and work on them!

This home based business industry can offer you the world. But you have to be able to GET OVER YOURSELF and push through your fears. Easier said than done isn’t it.

Well, let me share with you what I believe to be the key to building a home based business.

The Key ingredient is your DESIRE to achieve success. Does that sound a bit airy to you? Well, it’s true. That’s why most companies will get you to figure out your ‘why’, you know, why is it that you want to build a home based business. What’s really in it for you?

So every time you have that little voice inside of your head question whether you can do this or not, tell yourself that your DESIRE TO SUCEED is greater than your fear.

Building a home based business is not easy, if it were everyone would be doing it. But one of the main reasons this business is not ‘easy’ is because of the state of mind that we enter the business with. It took me a couple years to build my business with confidence. A big part of that was because I was not aware of what it would take to build this business. I didn’t realize that it was me that I had to work on, not others.

I had the vision of how my lifestyle would be like when I get there – working a home based business full time. And I’m stubborn as hell; nobody could take that vision away.

I want to be a bit more concrete then just saying you have to figure out your fears because that’s just a part of the equation. You have to DEVELOPE YOUR SKILLS to succeed in this business. You have to be a student of this business. So figure out what area you are weak in and buy the books, listen to the audios; do whatever it takes to get exposed to the right information and practice like any other professional in any other field would.

There are a countless number of materials out there and I will share those with you over time. So get serious with yourself and realize what is at stake here. It’s those things that you desire... are they worth getting uncomfortable?

When you are building a home based business you are building an asset that will offer you the things and lifestyle you’ve dreamt of. Develop your skills and build your business.

Are you looking to start your business from home? With the changing economy many people are now looking for business opportunities, but are not really sure where to start.

Often times people jump the gun and will join the first business opportunity they are presented with little understanding of how to evaluate what a good business opportunity is. To start your business from home follow these three tips and you will be well on your way.

1) Shift in Mindset. If you are use to working for others, you need to shift your mind set from being a employee to being the boss. I have found that this is one of the most difficult things to train others on. People get use to having others tell them what to do. If you want to be in business for yourself, you need to be the toughest boss to yourself that you have ever had.

2) Separate business and pleasure. If you are going to have a home office, make sure you spouse understands that you are still ‘at work’. It is so easy to get side tracked with small house duties but you need to get focused on that task you have set out to do. When looking to start your business from home, procrastination is the ultimate killer.

3) Set a daily schedule. This has really helped me keep on track and know exactly what I need to complete for the day. A part of this is to set a time when you are going to check your email. As quick as checking your email is, doing it 30 – 40 times is simply not needed. Productivity will skyrocket when you have a set time to complete small mundane tasks, and focus your efforts on the money producing activities.

Often times as I set out my plans for the coming week, it helps to have a list to do and to prioritize what’s most important. The easiest way to do this is to understand which activities contribute to the growth of your sales. Ask yourself, what needs to happen for me to get paid? And that’s where you start.

As you being to start your business venture, whether it is in Networking Marketing, or supply chain management, these three tips will help you stay on track to building a thriving enterprise.

Tim Sales is a trainer for the Network Marketing industry and is the creator of a few different products such as Professional Inviter, Brilliant Questions, and Brilliant Compensation just to name a few. But are you really getting your money's worth purchasing these products?

Let's take a step back and figure out why Tim Sales has created these products. Take Brilliant Compensation for example. This is a video of Tim Sales giving an in-depth review of the Network Marketing industry. He goes through very logical arguments of why Network Marketing is a legitimate business. But I think Tim Sales wants to do much more then just help others with the understanding of what Network Marketing or Multi Level Marketing (MLM) means.

Tim Sales has created a number of tools to help people get the proper training to build a Network Marketing Business. If you are questioning whether or not you should make the investment and purchase one of Tim's training tools such as Professional Inviter or Brilliant Compensation, you need to first ask yourself a few questions.

I believe that many people enter this industry thinking that it's going to be easy and that they don't need to get trained on how to build a Network Marketing Business. This is understandable as many people are taught to recruit others by says, "I think this will be very good for you", or "I know you're going to do well at this". The truth is you don't. In my four years experience in the Network Marketing industry, time and time again I am surprised at who 'succeeds' in this business. So some of the questions that you need to ask yourself are;

- Do you need to get trained to move your business forward?

- Do you have the skills to build a successful business?

- Do you know how to effectively market and promote your business, even after you hit the bottom of your names list?

Understand this, your best thinking has gotten you to where you are now. Period. If you don't think you need the training - then you must be happy with where you are at. So some people think it is luck that builds your business. Tim Sales does not.

Tim Sales has broken down the activities of a network marketer into 3 basic parts. Invite, Present, Train. Tim methodically breaks down each of these activities and gives a step-by-step guide of what to say and how to say it. He gives you a better understanding of how to approach people so you feel comfortable knowing that you are only there to help the other person. I have witnessed many 'light bulbs' go off with people who are exposed to Professional Inviter and Brilliant Compensation as they feel confident in what they are saying as well as what they are promoting.

Products such as Brilliant Questions and Brilliant Communicator go into even greater detail helping people know what to say to the prospects, and how to say it. So it goes without saying that if you are serious about building your network marketing business, you need to get exposed to the right training. Tim Sales has a flaw though... and that is he is only teaching people outdated methods. Sure these traditional methods can (and for some do) work. But approaching friends and family, calling leads, presenting at hotel meetings, is hardly an attractive "Business building activity" for many.

So if you want to sharpen your communication skills or if you have any doubt about the industry, then yes, purchasing Tim Sales products is worth the investment. But to learn new strategies to build and market your business, Tim Sales falls short. If you're looking for more "how to build" answers make sure to check out my link on the right.

If you are in the Home Business industry and you do not have a clear understanding of what a Funded Proposal is, read this short article in detail to see how this one concept will change the way you do business... forever!

Sometimes it's hard to picture what a virtual 'Home Business' might look like so to get a clear understanding of what a funded proposal is, let's pretend that our home business has a store front. Like any business the most important thing is to have potential customers walking in the door to have a look around, so they can make a purchase.

Now currently most home business owners in the Network Marketing industry leave their store to go hunting for customers and potential business partners. This is one of the reasons why prospects are turned off of the idea of joining their business for they were not really interested in the first place. You see, that is a part of what a funded proposal has to offer.

It is a way to offer something of great value, often times for free, just to have the customer walk through the door. Give something away for free?! Yes! The savvy Home Business Owner understands that people are looking for what they have to offer (the opportunity of making an income...etc) but they need a way to connect with these people. So the first challenge is to get the prospect in the door.

What do you do next?

It's not exactly the right time to push the business on your prospect. They might still just be curious and want to learn more about what a Home Business has to offer. And that is where the Funded Proposal comes into play.

By offering a relatively low cost (under $300) low commitment product the prospect is more willing to take the next small step forward. Of course it should relate to what your prospect is looking for like an info product on How to build a Home Business.

This is called a Funded Proposal because it is a way to fund your business on the front end as you attract more prospects into your marketing funnel. The more prospects you can attract, the greater the number of people you can pull from when it comes time to building your primary business.

People are much more comfortable taking small steps (taking a free offer, then purchasing an info product that will help them with what they want) rather than giant leaps (joining a business which is usually high cost and high commitment).

So if you stop chasing people around and position yourself in front of the prospects who are interested in what you have to offer, not only can you make front end cash to fund your marketing efforts (via the Funded Proposal) you will have a pipeline full of qualified prospects when it comes time to building your business.

Make sure to click on the link to the right to see a real live funded proposal. I first want to share with you the 7 top Fatal Mistakes of a Network Marketer. Then I expose the new strategies that I build my business with, where I have qualified prospects entering my marketing funnel.

If you are thinking of using Social Marketing sites to build your business this is an important article for you to read to avoid making the fatal mistakes that most online marketers are committing right now, and wondering why their business is not growing.

Social marketing sites have changed the internet and the way we communicate with others. A couple examples of social marketing sites are Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. This is usually a place where friends connect and people meet one another. This is very important to understand for when people don't play by the rules, they will be rejected by others in the group.

So how are marketers abusing these social marketing sites? Many marketers who see the mass number of people on these sites feel that it's a good idea to get their noise in and advertise to these people. This is probably the worst thing you can do. Here is why.

Let's take the example of going to a party, that's basically what social marketing sites are like, a place where people are meeting other people. Now would you walk into a party and introduce yourself as the "God of Online Marketing" and can help them with all of their problems? Of course not - I hope. But people are doing it every day online. They have corny profiles such as, "MakeMillions" and go around asking if they can help you.

There are a few things wrong with this strategy. First I immediately question to myself, "If this person is so successful then why is he going around begging others to be friends and wanting to help me?” Second and this is even more important, is that they are just annoying everybody at the party (the social marketing site). Immediately you remind them of an annoying network marketer who just will not stop calling them to 'join their business'. So instead of building the business and annoying people face-to-face, people are now going on to social marketing sites to market with the same 'failure proven' techniques.

Social marketing sites are a place where people can meet one another and build new relationships. It is not a new medium for advertising and recruiting. Be respectful of the people you meet and get to know one another. At some point they may ask you what you do and if it seems like a good fit, you can put on your marketing hat and take the next step.

Social marketing sites have made it easier than ever to connect with people all over the world, so learn the unspoken rules, build relationships, and prosper with one another.

I have gone through a number of different courses on internet marketing and have come across a few 'black hat' strategies. One of these secret strategies have recently got people Banded from YouTube - Here's Why.

It looks like some 'Black Hat' strategies that internet marketers have used have caught up with them as there is a new YouTube slap that marketers have recently experience. If you're thinking of building your business integrating YouTube into your marketing efforts, you'll want to make sure you read on so you know what to avoid!

For anyone who is marketing online and has put time and effort into building a YouTube profile and a following, this new YouTube Slap is going to hit hard for some. I think it's important to learn from others mistakes so we don't fall into the same trap.

One of the main reasons why Internet Marketers YouTube account have been suspended is because of DUPLICATE CONTENT.

One of the 'super secret' strategies that has been implemented by internet marketers, is to create a video in such a way where it was specific on a topic, but generic enough to be posted on many different profiles. Let me explain.

Basically what you could do is create a number of different profiles on YouTube and post the same video to all of them. Sounds like a great idea doesn't it? Well, it was a pretty good idea for as long as it was working.

But you know what, Google is just too damn smart! They are able to track all the different videos that are out there (and remember Google owns YouTube) and if they find that there is duplicate content being posted; this is NOT and good thing. You will eventually experience what's being call the YouTube Slap. There has even been mention that Google has Voice Recognition software for their videos. Kind of scary hey?

So the lesson that we can all learn from this is to not publish duplicate content out there on the internet. It is just not worth the risk. So it looks like a few internet marketers are going to have to change up their strategy. There are so many ways we can build a home Business and I've made some Fatal Mistakes along the way.

Many business owners are now looking at integrating different online tools in their marketing mix such as Twitter, but is it going to drain your marketing resources or have REAL value added results? Here are some insights to successfully integrating this social media tool into your business in a way to see measurable results.

If you have been a member of Twitter for any length of time, you may have had a quick question run through your mind, "Is anyone actually INTERESTED in this Tweet?" Sounds like a pretty basic question, but if your followers are not interested in what you have to say - within seconds your tweet will be buried in the midst of many other competing tweets on their Twitter profile. So how do we make sure you are not wasting your time?

Simple. Provide value relating to the very reason why a person has decided to follow you in the first place. If you're dealing with health products, give good tips or connect your followers with good information relating to health. If you're a business consultant, do the same; offer great value by helping your followers with what you have to offer.

Scared to give away some of your best 'secrets' on [http://twitter.com/]Twitter? Do not be. Take comfort in knowing that you care much more about your tweets then anyone else. Another way to see this is that people will see you as an expert in a particular field and that is when you can see measurable results in your business.

Alright, so now you might be wondering, "How do I get measurable results? Well, you ultimately need a way to track the number of visitors that are generated for your Twitter account to your website. For that you can use a tool called Bitly. You can find it at [http://bitly.com/]Bitly.com.

With this tool you will be able to set up a quick campaign entering your own website url that you would like to drive traffic to, place it on your Twitter profile, and watch as you can see the number of times it has been clicked.

If you are uncertain about how building with these Social media tools such as Twitter is going to grow your business, be sure to follow the link below. I show you how I have been able to build my business with new strategies to attract more customers and prospects but first I had experienced some Fatal Mistakes before that.

With the rise of online marketing knowing the to do's and what not to do (also known as Netiquette) is ever so important. If you don't follow a few 'unspoken rules' you will run away customers without ever knowing it.

Netiquette is so important if your looking to build your business online and if your looking to build an online presence with social media sites. Stemming from the word 'Etiquette' these are the unspoken rules that guide the activities of people on different sites or in another words, in different communities online. If you're looking to build a business you MUST learn the rules to prosper and ensure your not turning customers away.

Let's cover some of the most popular sites.

Twitter- Here's the fastest growing social media site that many marketers (both large corporations to the small guy in his house) are jumping on board in hopes to build a following of customers, and meet new potential prospects. Netiquette for Twitter:

1) Engage in conversations with people, don't always be quick to refer back to your product of service.

2) This is your chance to give your product or service a PERSONALITY, so know what you stand for and express your opinions. People will not follow you if you write boring, mundane comments

3) People HATE being sold to. So don't do it. Instead make it their idea to go to your site and learn more about what you have to offer. The way to do this is to provide good valuable content on your related topic / industry.

YouTube - More companies are dishing out thousands of dollars on creating video advertisements in hopes for it to go 'viral' on this social media site. Be careful how you do this. Here are some Netiquette rules for YouTube.

1) Your material on should be entertaining AND provide some insights that will help your customer as to how your 'thing' is going to help them.

2) If it looks like a commercial - you will loose the audiences attention within seconds. Why? Because we are trained from watching television to change the channel once a commercial comes on. With the internet, it's even easier to close the screen and MOVE ON. So don't make your ad 'look and feel' like a commercial

3) Do Not spam people's videos to have them check out your profile etc... It will only annoy people and they just wont accept you!

Facebook - Alright this is a touchy subject because people on Facebook feel like it's their Home on the internet. Advertisers have had a hell of a time reaching people on this social media site, Facebook is still trying to find news ways to monatize their site. Netiquette advice for Facebook:

1) Creating a profile can be great for your product or service, but don't make it look too 'salesy' and just have some interesting / fun content on it.

2) Do not use 'bait and switch' techniques when advertising on Facebook's PPC. This goes for all advertising on the internet really but especially Facebook so don't be deceptive in your promotions.

3) DO NOT go around adding people you don't know. This is really not accepted on Facebook and is actually just seen as 'creepy'.

So there you have it. If you're building a business from home, looking for more ideas on Netiquette and how you can build you business integrating strategies such as social media, follow the link below.

Independent distributors who leverage technologies in their business will gain an unfair advantage over their competitors and colleagues. As one uses technologies the processes that their business use and the reach that their business has is unparalleled using traditional methods.

Independent distributors who leverage technologies in their business will gain an unfair advantage over their competitors and colleagues.

As more people look to join network marketing companies in hopes to build a thriving home based business, there seems to be a quite yet powerful shift happening. For people who notice the power of using technologies in their business, they truly have an overwhelming advantage to their colleague who is 'in the dark' for the market that they can communicate with vastly differs in size.
When I started to build my network marketing business full time I realized that in order for me to grow my pipeline (the people who I have approached about the products or opportunity) it was slow and painful. Not only was it painful to find ways to meet qualified people, it was also not easily duplicated by my team. Not everyone has the time or inclination to attend new events or business networking groups to meet new people. So I was forced to search out new ways to build my business and was introduced to the idea to leverage technologies.

You see, building a home based business using traditional methods of meeting someone new, inviting them to a business opportunity meeting, presenting to them and following up with them has worked and will continue to. But the average person will quickly run out of people to approach. When leveraging technologies you can not only stream line different components of your business, such as recruiting and training but you can also reach more people than ever before.

Let’s have a look at those two strategies mentioned to leverage technologies.

1) Automate processes. If you have systems in place to put people through for training, you as the leader will not have to spend countless number of hours training people how to do mundane activities such as checking their volumes in their business. A tip to leverage technologies in this situation would be to make a video recording showing your new distributor how to do these tasks. This will save you a countless number of hours.

2) Reach more people. If you build a presence online you now can market to any country you wish to in the world. This can be integrated with what you are already doing to build your business, or you can make it your main focus. An example of this is to create profiles on different social networking sites and get connected with people. This is just one way you can build relationships with more people ever thought imaginable using traditional methods.

As people leverage technologies they expose themselves to a whole new world of opportunities.
